PEIADA represents the new automobile dealers (Class A) on Prince Edward Island.
We are a self-funded non-profit association with Dealer Member dues collected based on sales numbers, and Associate Member dues collected at a flat rate.
PEIADA is the only provincial automobile dealers association in Canada to be able to boast 100 percent membership, which puts us in an enviable position of being able to say that we truly represent the views of all new automobile dealerships on Prince Edward Island.
Prince Edward Island new automobile dealers make up a valuable sector of the provincial economy, both as a retail-driven economic builder and retail tax generator, as well as a large employer.

The number of new vehicles sold on Prince Edward Island saw an increase of 446 units in 2021 to total 7,476, following a 13.4 per cent decrease in 2020. The value of new vehicles sold increased by 11.6 per cent, rising to $294.1 million.”

The value of retail trade for motor vehicle and parts dealers on Prince Edward Island was $784.9 million in 2021.

Coupled with the value of retail trade of gasoline stations, the automotive industry contributed $1.14 billion to Prince Edward Island’s economy in 2021, representing 37.9 per cent of Prince Edward Island’s total retail trade in 2021.

In 2021, Prince Edward Islanders spent $670.6 million on transportation directly related to personal use vehicles – that is: new passenger cars; new trucks, vans and sport utility vehicles; used motor vehicles; other vehicles; spare parts and accessories for vehicles; fuels and lubricants; maintenance and repair of vehicles; parking; passenger vehicle renting; other related services.
